Research Projects

“Witnessing Auschwitz” has produced numerous original research projects ever since its inception over ten years ago. Every summer, enrolled students conduct extensive, onsite research into the killing site and the Holocaust. Through their research, Witnessing Auschwitz students have developed not only a better understanding of Auschwitz as a historical place but also as a space for learning, preservation, and the memorialization of those who perished.

As with previous years, the Witnessing Auschwitz students of 2024 conducted research into Auschwitz and the Holocaust. They presented their findings in a range of methods reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of the program and their diverse backgrounds. You may explore their research projects via the side menu to the left.
